Hello! I’m Jo, an illustrator from Aotearoa New Zealand.

My work is inspired by the quiet, everyday moments of childhood and the magic found in ordinary days and little details.

My first picture book, Five Wee Pūteketeke by Nicola Toki, was shortlisted for Best Children’s Book at the 2025 PANZ Book Design Awards. I’m currently working on my debut picture book as both author and illustrator, due for publication in 2027.

Alongside illustration, I work as a Marketing Designer in the book publishing industry. In 2022, I founded Pictura Children’s Bookshop, an independent bookshop dedicated to illustrated books, which has since been passed on to new caretakers.

I live beside the sea near Dunedin with my family.
