Hello! I’m Jo, an illustrator from Aotearoa New Zealand.

My work is inspired by the quiet, everyday moments of childhood.

My first picture book, Five Wee Pūteketeke by Nicola Toki, was shortlisted for Best Children’s Book at the 2025 PANZ Book Design Awards. I’m currently working on my debut picture book as both author and illustrator, due for publication in 2027.

Alongside illustration, I work as a Marketing Designer in the book publishing industry and in 2022, I founded Pictura Children’s Bookshop, an independent bookshop dedicated to illustrated books, now passed on to new caretakers.

I live beside the sea near Ōtepoti Dunedin with my family.
